Northern Gulf Islands are part of a chain of 6,000 islands that shelter the British Columbia coastline between Washington and Alaska. Visitors will find that the further north in the Strait of Georgia that they explore, the fewer fellow travelers they'll encounter. The wonderful silence that envelops these islands is characteristic of the ambience in the remote central coast locales.
Saturna Island is a beautiful, friendly place with good hiking and the well known Saturna Winery with daily tours, wine tasting and a restaurant. We anchor out in a breezy bay as there is no moorage.
Ganges is a quaint Canadian town filled with restaurants, shopping, outdoor music and many different seasonal events. Not to mention, a fabulous farmer's market on Saturdays and a large, well stocked grocery store as well. Moorage is available at the Ganges marina.
Enjoy great beachcombing on beautiful white sand beaches at Montague Harbour. Or you may choose a good hike, a relaxing afternoon at a cafe or a quick shuttle to the pub on Galiano Island. There is also a seasonal floating tug/restaurant and a seasonal marine petting zoo. This bay does not offer moorage, so we would anchor out.
Todd Inlet is located next to the Butchart Gardens, an outstanding site that must not be missed. With over 100 breeds of roses, alone, the gardens captivates any visitor. There is a restaurant and a small spa at the Brentwood Bay Lodge. Todd Inlet is a great place for swimming in July and August when the water is around 70 degrees. There is no moorage but this inlet is a beautiful anchorage area.

Victoria is large, immaculate city with beauty and amiable qualities. You will discover endless shopping, many very good restaurants, lively bars, and all kinds of entertainment! With the highly ranked National Historical Museum and the Imax Theater located close to the marina, you won’t walk far for activities. Also, the eclectic street vendors and different waterfront entertainment (music, mimes, magic acts) daily will keep you well entertained.

*There are scheduled daily stops to Victoria from Seattle (Kenmore Air) for around $125/person (about 20 minutes) or from Vancouver (Westcoast Air) for around $135 + tax/person (about 20 minutes).
